BoldData began with a simple idea: company data should come from reliable sources and be easy to work with. Over the years that idea grew into a global data platform. Today, as CompanyData .com we continue building on the same foundation of verified public registry data.
2009 — The Beginning
BoldData is founded in the Netherlands with a focus on reliable company data from official trade registers. In the early years we focus on business lists in the Benelux.
2012 — Expanding Internationally
Demand grows and our database expands across Europe and the United States, connecting company data from local registries and chambers of commerce.
2016 — Going Global
BoldData grows into a global platform with coverage in more than 150 countries. To support international clients we open offices in Europa, Asia and Middle East, bringing our local data approach to a global scale.
2018 — GDPR Changes the Landscape
With the introduction of GDPR, reliable sources become more important than ever. We focus even more on official registries and begin helping companies and banks stay compliant with accurate data delivered through APIs.
2020 — API Platform Launch
We launch our company data API, allowing businesses to integrate verified registry data directly into their systems.
2024 — 200 Countries Covered
Our global database expands to more than 200 countries and jurisdictions, including ownership structures and company hierarchies sourced from public registries.
2025 — BoldData Becomes CompanyData.com
